No matter what label we use, every relationship has the same basic requirements in order for it to succeed. At the institute, we believe
these requirements consist of love, respect, honesty and trust.
Each of us, however, has a different and unique definition of love, respect, honesty and trust. Problems arise in our relationships when
our varying expectations and assumptions for the relationship clash instead of agree. Often we are not even fully aware of all the
assumptions and expectations that are causing us so much pain, conflict and confusion.
The institute has developed a series that explores the various aspects of being in a relationship. The goal is to help series
participants become more aware of their assumptions and expectations along with their unique definitions. The series is divided into
multiple parts, each of which explores one aspect of being in relationships.
